Default rearend is smoked i do believe

well i was goin to school this evening, took off from a stop light and the truck kinda stuttered but i didnt think much of it till i got to about 25-30 and the truck vibrated really bad...so i accelerated through it to 50, and the MPH needle was bouncin back and forth between 48-53 and when i let off the gas, it sounded like some teeth off a gear were missing and when you get down to 25MPH and below it sounds like a jake brake on a diesel [:@]

looked under the truck and there's fluid on the bottom of the bed right above the diff and on the corner of the gas tank by the diff...gonna try and get it to the dealer tomorrow, hopefully they wont try and screw me over and say the lowerin kit caused it....it's been a bad day and this only made it that much worse....i'll repost after i get back from the dealer and let yall know what they had to say

That sucks man. Hopefully the dealer won't screw ya. You're still under warranty, right? Let us know what turns up.

Bummer dude, Let us know how this turns out for you. BTW I want a yellow pickup like yours, I don't see too many of them like that in these parts. Good Luck

if the fluid came out where the axel connects to the diff its a pinion seal. my friends 04 has gone through 2 of them todate. check the fluid level in the diff. i blew the gears in the rear and never had a fluid leak. just MASSIVE amounts of grinding that sounded like a crow bar was jammed in between the LSD

that aint nothing man, I did this to mine. I was toasted it! hahaha, $100 for the deductable on the Powertrain warranty and that was it.

I dont know what it was about it but there was something extremely satisfying about grinding the hell out of it.
