The only reason I take it to Jiffy is because we have about 10-15 company cars that I take there and I havent had time to play with my personal cars lately. They are my buddys and I know they do good work, atleast for my cars. I just know they use fram filters and a cheaper oil. But on my Hemi I am going to start doing it my self. Thanks for the advice!

All my trucks have Royal Purple 10/30 and K&N filters.

They say that if you use all synthetic in your truck, that means engine, tranny, rear end
it will give you 5 HP. more. Any little bit helps.

My 06 Mega is still a virgin but I plan on running BG Hi-L0W30. It's a full synthetic and it already has the BG MOA additive in it. Anyone familar with BG products knows what great prouducts they make. If you want the best go with BG. But wait until you have about 10k on your engine before using synthetic. The BG rep told me my engine might not break in right if I run a good synthetic in it right away. I haven't decided what filter to use yet. I was thinking about Napa Gold but I haven't done my research yet.

I am using Mobil 1 5W-20 oil with a Wix #51085 filter. I will only use Wix (51085), Napa Gold (1085), or Carquest (85085) filters on my Ram. Only Wix, Napa Gold, or Carquest on my other vehicles also.
I have seen enough cut-away views of the insides of oil filters to convince meto use Wix filters exclusively!

I have been running synthetic oil for the past 15 years and have no bad experiences with it. I will be the first one to tell you I often forget about oil changes and have been as far as 2k miles past due. With all this in mind synthetic oil has helped save my engines from these "slight" oversites.

2005 ram 1500 5.7. I am using Mobil1 and a Fram tough gard TG-16 oil filter. synthetic is the way too go. if you have the driveway to do it yourself, great. I live in a condo and you can't change oil or work on vehicles. WalMart does mine with Mobil 1 and I have never had a prob.

I do all my own oil changes. I use the Mopar filter with Castrol Syntech 5w/40. I change the drain plug every other oil change. Keep records in your maintanence book, so if you have a problem later, you have proof that you did oil changes.
