what kind of oil running?
I got a 2003QD Hemi not to long ago and I was wondering what kind of oil people are using with the Hemi. I have an account at our local Jiffy Oil and just let them do it, but I read on here about the fram oil filters (i believe that is what they use) and so I want to do the work my self with a different oil filter. So what do you guys use? Thanks.

RE: what kind of oil running?
Check out this article, and definitely do it yourself.

I've since switched to Purolator Pure One oil filters in ALL my vehicles. I bought a Fram (orange one), Mopar, AC Delco, Mobil, Motorcraft, and Purolator Pure One last week, and cut them all open. It's amazing how many people use great oil like Mobil 1, then use a cheap filter like Fram.
Here's the deal:
Fram, Mopar, and Motorcraft are all built by the same Mfg. They are cheap in construction, using paper elements-with half the pleats, carboard end caps, and plastic bypass valves. The Fram had a hole stamped out by the bypass valve as well, so it's always bypassing oil. I will never buy these again.
AC Delco, Mobil, and Purolator all had FAR superior construction. Better element material with more pleats (more filtering), metal end caps, and metal bypass valves. The only differences I saw between the Purolator and the Mobil is the Purolator had more pleats, and the Mobil has a stronger can, which is piece of mind but I've never had a filter rupture. The Mobil costs twice as much, so I opted for the Purolator.
The above article is correct, after 3 weeks (and 500 miles) of using Mobil 1 oil with the Purolator Pure One oil filter, my oil is much cleaner than it would be when I used Mopar filters. Filters and oil are cheap, use good ones. Definitely Mobil or Purolator. FYI. I'll try to post pics soon.
