My 2006 Powerwagon has spots all over the grill from bugs. I wash my truck often and I've even tried chrome polish. The stains in the chrome just won't go away. I've never had this happen on any other vehicle. Do you think this might be a warranty issue? Bad chrome job from the factory maybe??? Has anyone else noticed this on there new truck?

 

I do not think they will cover it, but worth a try.

Several bugs are actually acidic and can do that. June bugs are the worst.

In Florida we have Love Bugs they are a smaller version of the ones from Aliens the Movie, well there blood is anyway.

I have had some success with Bug and Tar remover and a piece of fleece.

if worst comes to worst get a new grill off ebay and coat it with some rain x about once a month. Those bugs will hit it and slide off like a fat kid on a diving board. My buddy did it on his truck he never has bugs on it.

 

Yeah just keep up on the waxing or rain x and you'll be fine

 

Love bugs are here in texas as well. They get so bad sometimes that you cant even see through the window. You will hit patches of them and you better hope you have plenty of washer fluid.
