Default 7 /70,000 warranty?

This may have already been discussed, but what happened to the 7 /70,000 powertrain warranty w/ Dodge? The '07 Ram1500 QC Hemi I just bought came only with a 3 / 36,000 warranty. Chevy is doing a 10 / 100,000 and Dodge drops back to the ol' standard??

dodge dropped it because most people didnt even know they had it and as a whole there werent enough claims to justify having it anymore...when my parents bought their 06 commander they got the option of a gas card, or the powertrain warranty

If they took the gas card I hope it was for 1000 bucks. Thank God I've got the 7/70000 I had to put a new rear end in the truck last summer.

That is one reason I love my 05

If you want a longer warranty by all means by a GM. Eventaully Dodge will figure it out and thanks to the people who stopped buying they will bring it back.

The reason they came out with it in the first place was because all those late 90 early 00 rams had consistant tranny failures and they were loosing a crap ton of buisness. This was a marketing attempt to get customers back... now they are, now the warrenty is gone.
