I took a different tack as you can see below. Here in PA you must have a reflector, either amber or clear. It's real easy to get the lens apart if you first heat the whole light up in the oven set to the lowest temp it'll go (mine was 170 degs) for 10-15 mins. Once that sealant softened up they came apart without tools, just steady pressure.
