Yeah if it's anything like the body shop I work for, the insurance companies can only write initially what they can see....i.e. nothing obviously structural. Tough to tell if stuff has significant frame damage until teardown work is done.
I can't see the pics because of the internet filter here at work, but best of luck man. A lot of insurance companies that we deal with don't total a vehicle unless the damage estimate exceeds 80% of the value, which is getting harder and harder to do on newer vehicles.

Sucks when your baby gets hit. Back last year I was driving to work on 5 lane road, I was in the right most lane. Lady in Toyota was in right about 2 car links in front of me. Speed limit was 40mph, which I was doing. All of a sudden she decides she is going to turn Right and I mean RIGHT NOW. $2100 damage to my truck and of course she had no insurance.And I only had about 6000 miles on the truck at the time. At least no one was hurt.
