I dont need the diesel, I am thining long run. motor last a heck of a lot longer. has everything done to it lift etc, is fully loaded. I guess I did not need 4x4 either but I did not want to get stuck when taking my quad out. I just need to check the mileage and get a car fax plus a thorough inspection.

Thing is Jimmy is you posted this in the third gen forum. If you want tot alk to ppl that know more about Diesel post on the CTD forum. Most of them guys don't even bother looking at this side of the site at all. But I've been on here for a while and i'm in the market for a 07 CTDor leftover 06 and most of those guys don't really do any towing whatsoever. Or if they do it's once or twice in a great while. Many buy them because even tho they costmore they are betterIN EVERY ASPECT over the hemi. You will get better mileage, and with gas on the rise and diesel semi staying where it is, youwould probably save the extra 2400 dollars indiesel. Not to mention the auto tranny on the CTD's is built a lot stouter than the turd 545rfe. Plus maintence on a CTD is less than a hemi, all you gotta do is change the oil and fuel filter, that's about it. and oil change intervals are much longer so I don't wanna hear anyone say about that it takes 12 qts instead of 7. Some of the guys here will tell you that the CTD is better because they ahve experience with them but others are just too blockheaded to realize it. Trust me there are so many ppl out there that do not realize the potential of these trucks. with a programmer a CTD can easily run a 13 second at the track or better, let's see a hemi do that with just a programmer, not gnna happen. Also not to mention that the CTD if taken care of can last 5-600k miles, 300k at the minimum if ur not so kind.another thing is there are lots of guys on the CTD forum that had 2nd gen ram 1500's and have since goten 3rd gen 2500 or 3500's andwill never go back to a gas engine again. Not to mention the CTD guysare like one giant family.

CUMMINS > HEMI. do it! lol. CTD is sooo much better! and yeah, do you need it or no? if not, keep the HEMI. so how are your payments so low? $350/month. How much did you put down/trade-in?

Don't trade, sell your truck. Then go make a deal on the CTD. Unless you know all the numbers you are gonna get screwed.
Forget about monthly payments and know EXACTLY what the numbers are.
You can get a New one for 9-10K off sticker right now all day long.
Look up the price for yours onliine at edmunds.com or KBB.com
Watch this show on TV called "King of Cars" and learn how dealers look for people to take advantage of all day long who are only looking at how much the monthly payment is.
A little knowledge and research can save you alot of money on this deal.

You want to strive to have no loans, and I mean not even a mortgage. Now it's not realistic to believe in this day and age a person starting out is gonna manage that, but the longer you drive a "crappy" car the nicer the truck you can PAY CASH for in ten years...
