Trade in 1500 hemi for 2500 ctd?
I went the the dealer where they had a 20054x4 laramine edition with a lift, spray in bedliner, 305/70/17 bfg all terrain ko's, nerf bars, nice truck. the omnly problem is my payments would increase from 350 monthly to 550 monthly, I can afford it but 200 is considerable. What do I do?

That sounds like a sweet truck. If it is worth it to you, then go for it. Do you tow and haul things often enough to need a diesel? Although the fuel mileage is great if you don't too. Just make sure to see the bottom line of what you are paying and what you are getting for your truck. I'm sure you are going to eat some interest on your current truck, but dealers like the play the "it's only this much a month" game to boost profits.

If you can afford 550 a month i'd say go look for a new ctd. Many times payments on used are slightly hihger than new. Also if you want to save a bit get a new CTD but get an slt or sport those won't be as pricey as a laramie. But either way a CTD will completely demolish a hemi. Other than the price there is absolutely no downside to upgrading to a CTD whatsoever.

Hemi yellow, I like the new body style, jsut hate the back lights. I am not sureon the mileage. it is at the dealership that my truck is being serviced at tomorrow so a test drive will take place. I really want it and can afford it, just don't like stretching my dollar so thin. I don't know. might jsut do it, right now I am in limbo.

Do you need the new truck more than your current truck or do you just want the new truck? I know many times I want something more than I need. Want generally wins but still I do weigh out the options. I didn't really "need" my 1500 4X4 QC but the leg room in my old truck sucked bad and my DR has a Hemi so that was the clincher.
