Hey all....

I just pickup my Mineral Gray 07 Ram with the Hemi.I have been into Mustangs for the past few years,but i got bored and decided I needed something different.Im in LOVE!!!These trucks are awesome.

Heres my question.On my Mustangs the catback was the first purchase.Having the Hemi,I need it to sound like I have a Hemi but I dont want it to drone to much.Im looking for a catback that I can put on myself.I dont know what kind or even where to look.Can some steer me in the right direction(besides Ebay)??

first of all, welcome to the forum...hope u find what you need here...congrats on the buy, when u get a chance, make a gallery or post up some pics....i dont have a hemi seeing as how they dont put them in the dakotas[:@]...but i would assume magnaflow, gibson, flomasters ect ect....A LOT of the people on this forum have magnaflows.....ive never known 5 people that had magnaflow till i came to this board, it seems as if everyone has them....as for me not having a hemi, i cant answer you more than what i have said, hopefully some hemi guys will chime in....anyway welcome


the search function does work wonders but it is obviously him introducing himself while also asking a question. if everyone used the search function and never posted in a thread on this forum, this forum would not exist and we would be searching other websites

I really dont mind using the search button.Im on many forums so I do understand,but I dont have endless hours to spend here reading old posts.Im sorry if it offends people because I dont search.Sometimes Im just looking for a quick reply.

 

you shouldnt have to rely on searches all the time...if they dont like it, who cares? like i said, if no one could start new threads because they had a question, then there would be no threads worth looking at on here and off of us would be on another forum...f it, if it bothers him that much, he doesnt have to look at your thread

 

Ive spent a little while searching some websites for catbacks and Im confused.

First off,I cant find very much for the 07's,are the 06's the same?Whats a resonator?Can someone post a link to a system that would work on my truck so I know what Im looking for?I really dont want to spend more than about 250.00-300.00.

well, you could get the flowmaster line. its inexpensive. you can buy the muffler for $100 and get it installed between $50-100. im gonna search for a thread for you and post it on here so you can see what we are all raving about! lol. jk. no, ill find the thread though. brb.

When MDS kicks in your exhaust tone will change noticeably with an aftermarket exhaust. Some people don't mind it, some hate it. Just something to keep in mind when shopping around. The resonators (there's 2 one near the cats and one after the muffler) sole purpose is to reduce drone from your exhaust.

 

i heard you have to listen for it to hear it depending on the setup of course! but i also heard that it sounds like a harley just cruising. thats what pappy said i believe him. id love that harley sound when cruising. you hear a harley but you see a sick *** truck pass by. and of course, the sick *** truck is always gonna have to be a dodge. duh!!
