I just attached 2 pages from the service manual on my previous post, 2nd page shows the wire. You have to slide that black piece up, thats what locks it in!
Just wondering, the service manual says remove the negative battery lead, is the 100% necessary or not necessary at all. I think it's done to prevent the airbag from deploying. Just wondering thanks.

they put that in their to CTA (cover their ***) plus depending on what your doing you should anyways, but hell i never have cept when i did a clockspring recall on the minivans
As electrically dependant as new vehicles are,disconnecting the negitive battery cable prevents the possibility of stray voltage being accidentally introduced into a critical system. Lets say you are wireing your stereo,lots of open leads,the hot wire accidentally grounds. The voltage will take the path of least resistance, if the ground for your engine management computor is close,well, you get the picture,,,right?
