Default I'm trading her in...

Yep, I have decided that I am tired of the 10 mpg and bumpy harsh ride from the lift and big tires, so I am trading my baby in on a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 RCSB Hemi, Inferno red, 20" wheels. I test drove the Hemi again the other day (First time in 2 years) and really loved how smooth it was and how comfortable the truck was. I know the salesman and he told me that he could get me a QCSB Big Horn for 22k, so I think I should be able to get the RCSB for less than that! I'm getting the RC because I am single, no kids or any of that, and I am getting tired of hauling my friends around! What do you guys think???

P.S. I hate to say it, but I looked at the new F150 and loved the interior design, but after a little more research, I found out that Ford is having more problems with their 5.4L than ever before! Thank God I did my research!

Haha, funny you mention that. Well actually I was set on getting a CTD. I wanted a nice used one with somewhat low mileage. Well after going to the dealership and talking to my buddy (who has worked there for about 6 years now) he told me that they rarely get any used CTD's in. Well I went back to the drawing board, thinking well I might get a car. But I live on a dirt road, and think a truck is a better choice for me. I want the power, but I also want somewhat a little more fuel economy. So I firgue the RC is the way to go.

haha, the salesman just called me and said that they have the exact truck that I want on the lot. It's a 2007 Hemi RCSB Inferno Red, 20" Chrome wheels, Tow package, Anti-spin diff with 3.92 Gear ratio, Spray in bed liner. I can get it for about 21k!!! Well Im off to the dealership to take a look at it.

You know... I used to drive an expedition with the 5.4L Triton. That engine was sound, it really was. The tranny was strong and it felt good. The 5.7l Hemi is much stronger and more responsive, and with the MDS you cant beat the mileage.
Ford F150's are nice looking trucks, that Triton has been around fora while, I would trust it.
Good luck....

I too was looking at the Ford FX4's first and loved the interior! Much nicer interior than any other trucks right now. I especially loved the floor shifter.

Anyway, ended up with my 07 Inferno Red Ram QC and have no regrets!

Are you going to trade it in as is, or take some stuff off and sell it?

I wish Dodge would make the interior a little bit nicer. All the hard plastic sort of reminds me of cheap imports. Plus even a fingernail can scratch up the dash and panels.

I don't think so. I may take off the chrome fuel door and put it on the new truck, but everything else is going to stay.

Yeah I liked the room on the F150 and the floor shifter as well! It's a really cool addition to the truck and that center console is awesome. BUT, after seeing that RCSB Hemi Inferno Red ram, I think I am sold. Besides it being brand new, my payments will be just slightly higer, from $243/mo to $297/mo so under 300/mo and a brand new truck sounds like an unbeatable deal, not to mention the fuel savings and ride quality, and the power! If you couldn't tell I am pretty excited. Planning on making the purchase within a month or so.

evenb though i hate fords, they are great trucks too. i dunno, the interior offers more in fords, the quality is better, but i like the look of, well setup, of the dodge rams. but hey, either truck you get, you will be very happy with! even though i hate fords. lol. why not even look at a chevy?
