Hi i dont have 4.56's yet but I was thinking about getting them. So its not as mind altering as some make it out to be? The people who have done it make it sound like a huge change.

Can you give us some perspective? Do you know what you tached at say 70 mph before the gear change and what you tach now (or something similar)?
I have 4.56 in two trucks. One is my 05 Power Wagon and the other is a sweet ol' 76 Ford F250. The Ford does feel lower geared but it has no overdrive and a 428 that is a slow turning, heavy motor. I have to say it has much more lower end torque than my PW. I guess it should.

ok well guys... I didnt have much time to mess with the ram after the gear swap.. been working 14-15 days. Yesterday I got out early and decided to really rip on it and also took it for along highway cruise. I noticed much much more of a diffrence on the highway then anywere, it tachs out pretty good about 2700ish at 70-75 and around 2k at 55. We closed off my friends street with cones lol and I did get to lauch w/ them.. the launch is much better but the shifts are alot more violent. One thing i really did notice esp. on the highway was i drive in tow/haul mode to eliminate the MDS and when the converter locks when i let off the gas the new gears slow me down and hell of alot faster. I guess I was wrong in my post before, after doing roughly 100 more miles of testing im really happy with them. Disregaurd my previsous post. Oh ya one question for you all, do any of you run a richmond 4:56 set in you 9.25 rear? None of the richmond sets they sent me fit yet the motives dropped right in? Does richmond use a diffrent ring size or something or is my luck of getting miss packaged parts contiuning on lol.

I got em and I love em. Much better from a dead stop and all through the gears. Really helps to get this heavy brick rolling.

I have a QC, 4X4 Hemi on stock 20's and it weighs as much as a school bus, almost 6000lbs.

You rpm sounds high, you must be on 17's. I tack around 2100 at 70mph.

Yeah, if I don't jump on it because of the kick in the butt good feeling, my mileage went UP around 1.5mpg.
