How many oxygen sensors are on a 2003 dodge ram 4x4 ??

I have heard 4 and 2 ...which is it ?

 

OBDII requires 4. 2 before the cats, 2 after. So based on what I know about OBDII it should be 4.

 

Under my truck...i have one sensor before the car and i have one after it.....thats all i can find.

 

Try the other side You have dual exhaust to the point where the two pipes come together to connect to the CAT back. THough I am not sure if it comes together and through one CAT or it has two CATs. I guess if it just has one CAT then yes, 2 O2s would be right. 1 before and 1 after.

 

Right.....it splits, goes up on the passengerside then comes around the back of the motor and up on the driver side.....on the drivers side i cannot find them anywhere.

 

that's how it is on mine o2 before the cat and one after and that's it

 

I gave the dodge dealship my vin and the 03 model has 4, 2 down where the cat is and then the others up where the pipe is beside the manifold

 

yours must be late 03 i guess. i replaced my entire exhaust system and there were only 2
