I was driving home tonight and I saw a blue newer model chevy floor it at the light against a v6 mustang. The mustang wasn't trying to race at all, but the silverado was. I immediately decided to put this guy in his place and sped up so that I was next to him. We hit a red light and the race was on. I beat him by a long shot. His pride must have been hurt (I've seen him racing around town for a while now, but never had the chance to go up against him) because I slowed down, and he never got up next to me. I'm sure he was embarrassed by the defeat. For everyone's info, I never got above 45 in this 35 mph speed limit zone, I killed him in first gear. I don't like to go too fast with other people around, especially in town.

I love puttin a hurtin on the bowtie boys. I put a whoopin on a Trailblazer SS a couple weeks ago and shut a co-worker real quick like. A word of warning tho..... those things are bad quick even in stock form (400 hp at the flywheel) My truck is nowhere close to stock,so I wouldnt try it with a stock HEMI!

I agree Chevy's ahve nothing on dodge except the Allison transmission. That would be sweet in my truck. CTD and Allison mated. otherwise style and performance I will choose and stick to Dodge anyday of the week hands down.

I almost bought the new silverado when I was looking at the truck. The first thing I noticed was the "VORTEX" set up that come on there premium engine package. The bad news, it doesn't do crap for the engine as far as HP goes, it is just a promotional marketing event to move more chevy's and votex parts, and they too have a MDS system on them.

 

Don't mess with that Votex max or VMax or whatever it is. That this is a bad ****.
