I actually had the tinting done last weekend, but haven't had a chance to post some pics of her.

They matched up the front windows with the backwith 20% and she looks great! I was going to go darker in the back and go limo on the back windows, but as luck would have it a Dodge Ram drove by with the same setup and I didn't care for the mis-matched look. She's a truck, not a limo! Enough said!

While I was there a guy with a Toyota Prius (spellcheck?) was having his windshield done. I've always opted for the strip at the top so I advised the guy to do the front windows, pending the completion of the Prius' winshield. After it was done I looked inside and was impressed with the amount of light and visibility it offered while negating a good portion of the glare from sun and headlights.

So.... I opted for a 50% windshield tinting in lieu of the strip this time around! Couldn't be happier!

Looks really really good!!! You said that you had the whole windshield tinted?! I didn't think that doing that was legal! Is it?

 

Techinically it's illegal to tint the windshield. I spoke with the shop at length along with other people who have tinted the entire windshield. Basically it's Florida, so if you're not hot ******* or pulled for another reason, I doubt it will be an issue. If you happen to be pulled over and they notice it, they can demand you remove it or write you a ticket.

Given it's Florida, and the Sun is so brutal here, I'm not too worried about it. 30 - 40% of the vehicles I pass each day seem to have it done so it's a risk, but a small one.

First of all, the truck looks great. Love the tint and I never thought of doing that.

Second of all, something is bugging me, how do you all get your pics to show up so big on your posts. When I post pics, they show up as a thumbnail.

BTW, did I say I really like the look of the truck?!!! LOL

I host the photos using a registered login on Photobucket.com.

Once you upload the photos to your account, you use the <imbed image into post> button to house the URL link provided on each picture as the first option of thethree you are given. This assumes you took photos of decent resolution though. The ones posted on the forum were half the size of the originals. Photo bucket automatically resizes photos larger than 800X600 for you upon upload.
