I am thinking of putting a K & N air filter ( not CAI) just the filter. I have heard pros and cons about it and I wanted to get some feedback on it. Also any tips to save gas would be helpful. Thanks.

 

I have the drop in and have noticed absolutely no difference with it, IMO it was a waste of money, i will be getting a CAI this summer. As for gas saving tips, tuner, exhaust, CAI, tonneau cover, keeping the foot out of the gas....

 

Heres the trick to saving tons on gas.....
Just stay in...

 

i always see people go flying at red lights then slamming on the gas. if a light goes red, i take my foot of the gas and just roll up, or in my other car i just drop it in neutral.

 

Tonneau covers cut wind resistance caused by the tailgate. My mpg went up significantly after installing one. And also what NJMandCEM said: stay at home

 

By replacing the factory muffler with a Magnaflow muffler and installing the Superchips flashpaq (91 octane performance setting) I went from 10.6 m.p.g. to 11.5 m.p.g. This is per the overhead computer.

HankL, killer of threads. Not saying that's terrible, I think everyone just gets completely bombarded with a flood of info and all traffic stops.
