Allright, Im about to buy magnaflow dual straight pipes (the 16700 kit) I found a great deal online for it and I'm ready to buy it except I have some hesitation to pull the trigger. Seeing how 90% of you have flowmasters, do you guys know something I dont about the magnaflow duals on the 5.7 or any of the magnaflows on the hemi's for that matter. I only ask because I havent seen anyone on this forum with them.I'm not sure I care much about the mds drone being that I plan on putting a sound system in the next week or two.

 

i haven't heard anything bad about the magnaflow. Flowmaster just seems to be the popular brand on here. I have the super 40 and wouldnt trade it for anything. It sounds awesome. Nice deep rumble and aggresive on the acceleration

 

I do love the flowmaster sound, I'm just looking for something with sound, looks and performance at a decent price. The magnaflow system im looking at seems to doit all. I'm just hesitating to make the purchase for some reason.

 

whats making you want to order the magnaflow over say flowmaster or gibson or another brand?

 

Well I want all an all stainless dual straight setup. The gibson was pretty pricey and I liked the magnaflow sound the best.

 

ohhhh see i don't buy the kits like that cuz i want mine all custom done. So i just bought the muffler i wanted, then took it to a shop and had them do the piping in aluminized pipe so it will never rust with SS tips.

 

Yea the aluminum wouldnt be bad, but with all the snow, salt, and muddin I do I would just feel better if the whole exhaust was stainless.

 

Ive got a Magnaflow and love it! I bought it for the same reason as you plus wanted a different sound, not a deep rumble when at idle like most Flowmaster's ive heard.

 

whats the sound like on the magnaflow you have?

 

Did you notice any slight improvements in mpg or hp after you got the magnaflow? (other than keeping your foot on the pedal more often to hear it)
