Here in North Carolina it is no emisions anymore, Check engine light and the rest of the basic crap. Tires,lamps ect..

 

ohh those emisions states - I heard moth ***** always helped if you put a bunch in the air box before going..

 

Or you could live in South Dakota--no inspections whatsoever.

Correct, but also worthy of noting that if your annual inspection is more than 365 days from your previous inspection, AND you have added no more than 5,000 miles since your last inspection, the emissions test is exempt. I haven't had an emissions test since they ramped up the test procedures. Just pay for the sticker.

 

In my county in NC, they do an odbII diag scan. And then the basic inspection stuff.

 

Nothing here in Florida. Used to have Emmission inspections about 6 years ago but they did away with that. Since then, every car/truck down here has dropped there cats.

Even with the emission inspections, as long as you knew someone, you could get passed.
Regular test: $15 - $25 if I remember
to pass no matter what: $75

 

dont even think of the uk test !!
