Ok well over the past month or so i have been working on installing a new CD Deck into my 2004 Quad Cab 1500 w/ the infinty audio system. I have heard talk of an amp bypass harness and well an amp intergration harness. I bought the amp bypass harness and well thought i really didnt want to lose the power of the factory amp so i went ahead and then bought the amp intergration harness..... Well heres good info for ya...you dont need either!!!!!!.... I am kinda pissed and kinda happy i finally found the right part...which is the regular harness that you can buy at best buy, circut city etc.... anyways i did have the amp intergration harness installed and well the sound quality sucked i couldnt even here it with the windows down.... The roadshop guy at circut city said all he did was install the harness directly... Thats good for all you do it your self people put there.... i would of been one of them..... anyways hope this information helps yall out...and by the way it sounds great....

 

So what made it sound better? With the amp or without? I have the same stereo and I don't like it at all. I am considering saveing and useing the stock amp. What kind of gear did you use?

 

all i used is the regular radio harness that best buy or circut city gives you.... now it depends on the type of stereo you get too....

 

Guys, just curious regarding the Infinity system. How could I tell if my truck is equipped? I bought it used 2 weeks ago. It too is 2004 1500 QC 4x4 Hemi. It has the little Infinity signon the inside of the door. Only thing throwing me of though is that it has the single CD with tape deck. Who the hell is going to want a tape deck?

 

yea u hear ya i have the same single deck too....so no biggy

 

if it says infinity on the door then there will be an amp behind the glove box and tweeters in the pillars

what harness are you using? the one i got from walmart is all wires, but im seeing some online with wires and rca's. i think the rca's are for the infinity system but not clear. hu powers up and has full control functions other than no sound. 2004 1500 qc w/infinity

 

You have to have RCAs to run an amp
