Speakers are in
Well after a few hour battle with my truck all four speakers are finally in and everything is put back together in working order! I ran 14 ga speaker wire from the back of my head unit directly to the speakers to improve the sound a lil bit. I have to say i am beyond impressed with infinity speakers. They sound great! I also put a nice bead of silicone around the door opening for the speaker to absorb any vibration. Can't wait til friday when i sub box gets here!
Are you using the stock head unit or an aftermarket one? I think i read on your previous thread that you got the Infinity Kappas?I was looking into getting the Infinity kappas also, are you using an amp to power them?

I am using an Alpine head unit,Kappa 6x9's in the door, kappa 5x7 in the back and an Infinity 4 chanel amp (111 watts RMS x 4) I also have an Infinity sub. Infinity makes awesome equipment! by the way,all this is in a single cab truck
Nice, the stock infinity in my truck is crap. I do know there aftermarket is great. I am goign to change mine out soon, I want to keep the stock head unit because of the u-connect and the hands free feature. Just going to adda eq or crossover system before the amps
My wifes Stratus R/T has the factory infinity system also, and yes, they are crap! Paper speakers from the 70's.Due to the steering wheel controls,I am still using the factory ampI havehowever replaced the factory speakers with aftermarket Infinitys including the tweeters in the A post. In the truckI went fot the Dynamat because I hate rattles! Its A wild system in my single cab, when I crank it up the mirrors are useless! LoL

I am using the stock wiresfor the rear door speakers. You are telling me that there is a difference of sound from skinny 18g to 14g?
I dont think so, but I could be wrong.
