I want to put headers on my '04 Ram 4.7L, I'm looking at Gibson Stainless Steel headers but they don't appear to cross over, my dad suggested long headers that cross over for max low-end torque. Thanks.

has anyone put a magnaflow 14" muffler on the hemi? I have an 18" on my dak and its pretty loud. I just wanted to see what the 14" sounds like on a hemi. they do make an 11" too. but that might be too loud.
i have an 8" on the catback in my sig. it really isn't loud at all. you can barely tell at idle, but most definately can hear it when you give it a bit of gas. i think it might be as loud inside as outside. no rasp or rattle in the sound, just a really deep rumble. very little highway noise at 65.

hey everyone, all this talk about flowmasters has got to stop, we are not driving mustangs here, we are driving bad *** hemis. This picture is of my 05 ram with gibson extreme dual"stainless" for those of us that live north of the equator. My original aluminum gibson rotted of in 1 year, the new onw sounds sick. Very quiet inside at cruising speeds,70-80. But with the windows open from a dead stop this truck sounds like a cigarette boat flying down the road. Added the 305/60-20 nitto grapplers for a little extra curb appeal. Later people

Another FLOW MASTER in my 2004 4.7. Professionally installed with welds. Installer had over 20 years and installed a 40 Series with 36" Stainless Steel tips, nice and tight , half inch , below bumper. One thing he did and why I responded to this post. Installer left all of the factory pipe from header to Flow master. This changes sound a little outside and in cab. Did it on Sat. for $350.00 cash.

Installed 16700 magnaflow dual exhaust on my 08 ex-stock ram 1500 just todat, sounds solid, smooth sound, loud when ya want it loud, just right when you want it quiet, zero poppin sound on decel. Highway speeds not to bad at all with mds, not much of a drone, solid exhaust system.

Next up superchip and cai. One thing though it didnt improve my mpg, it made it worse and I think I lost a little of my takeoff speed/power which is odd, hoping that improves on chip and cai installation

I dont' think i'll be getting better gas mileage at first, i'll be on it pretty hard ,can't wait to pull up beside the "ricers" lol .Did you install it yourself? The only thing i was really worried about was the sound with the mds!
