Hi All, I have the Borla system and love it, not too loud but loud enough, and same as what night_runner said it has a distinct sound to it different from the flows or magna flows, as far as the resonator cat convertor controverse, I have an 04 and it only had one resonator behind the the muffler, and 2 cats, one on each side right after the manifolds.

 

Can we get a sound clip?

 

I have going in circles for a year now trying to decide on an exhaust system. Can anyone give/find more clips with the MDS engaged? I have been looking at the flowmaster 50 with si/do, but just can't decide to do it or not. Then with none, one, or both resonators. Decisions decisions...

 

what about the flowmaster 44, is anyone running this?

 

idk who exactly you were askin, but here is a clip of mine...4.7, borla (corsa tips though, for those of you wondering), and left 1 reso on....revs were only to 4k....after 5 it gets a lot meaner but rev limiter wont go above 4k

I may have just missed it, but, has anyone tried the flowmaster 50hd si/do while stillkeeping the front resonator in? This may be a stupid idea, but, what if I put the rear resonator between the front resonator and the new muffler? That way I could use both and still have the dual out... Just an idea...

 

OK... I have read all your suggestions on exhaust... What I am getting is that for a 2007 Ram 1500 Hemi MDS the best exhaust is the Flowmaster 50 series? Which intake would be best for that engine also? I appreciate the responses!

 

It looks like flowmaster seems to be the favorite of everyone, with a few borla, corsa and glasspacks mixed in. Anyone have any input on a magnaflow catback for a 4.7L?

In my opinion you can't go wrong with magnaflow. They sound GREAT. I don't think the 4.7 comes with MDS so you don't have that to worry about.

 

put on a super 44 today and it sounds great. highly recommend
