Debadged 07 - can see outline
Ok, just removed the RAM 1500 from the passenger door of my 07 Patriot Blue Ram and the further to the right you get, the more of an outline you can see. By the time it is in the 1500, you can clearly see the outline of where it used to be. In fact, running my fingers over it, the outline is clearly raised from the rest of the door. I used goo gone and a plastic putty knife, then stage 1 Liquid Glass paint cleaner / swirl remover to finish off.
Any ideas? It looks really bad, particularly in direct sunlight. I don't want to continue with the driver door until I figure this out.

I just debaded mine and I can see it barely only in the shade. Since mine is an 03 I expected that until it fads to match. I used the eraser wheel which was AWESOME someone on here recommended that to me and I finished it off with the 3m remover which worked really well. Other than that no other suggestions.
I'm not quite as concerned about the color as I am the very raised outline of the letters. It looks like I took a clear sticker in the outline and put it on the door. I am sure there is no adhesive left though, the goo gone and liquid glass would've removed it. Would a claybar or whatever this eraser wheel is help?
If there is something raised left you either pulled out the metal or you have glue left. The body is not raised under the lettering from thefactory and I doubt you pulled out the metal when you pulled off the lettering.
I usedPPG's DX440, you can find it in most any automotive paint supply store. I used a clean rag and just kept going over the area until there was nothing noticable as I ran my finger over it. Then a good wash and wax, and i can't see anything at all.
