AEM's DryFlow filters don't absorb water. Cleaning time from start to finish is 30 minutes. No oil needed.

Airaid offers a sock that covers the filter for better protection (have to buy separately) and does not reduce the flow of air. Living down here in Florida (and lately), it rains hard and alot during the summer months. The Airiad kit uses the bottom of the stock air box to mount preventing any under splash from happening. Filter stays perfectly dry.

Does anyone think that taking that tube that comes from your stock airbox to the fender and cutting a matching hole in the CAI heatshield and installing it do anything to add to the "cooler" air?

Typically the Heat shield only shields off the engine side...

I put the bomz racing one on my 07 4.7. Made a huge difference. a bit noisy though.
