Default SRT8 Conversion for 5.7 Hemi

Has anyone herd anything on the SRT8 cam and intake swap onto the 5.7 Hemi. I've herd it will put you at around 470HP with the cold air, exaust, and the Hypertech. Has anyone tried this setup or come across it? Seriously considering it, so any comments would help. Thanks

It won't put you at that much but it will give you some. My personal opinion is that it is not woth it to do the intake, but for the price the cam is a upgrade as long as you do the install yourself. If you pay someone to do it then you might want to upgrade to a larger Comp cam.

13.8 in an N/A QC, must be doing something right.

Yeah the intake really isn't that great i don't think as it does not get your colder air, just looks cooler. I would personally go with a true flow or something for the intake then the cam of your choice. Some will say that there are better cams than the 6.1 but I think the 6.1 is a nice mild cam, and it doesnot require tuning.

If you are set on the 6.1 intake check out www.thehemishop.com They have a kit for the 6.1 intake to the 5.7 liter.

The intake works GREAT....if you have the port size to match and take advantage of it (i.e. 6.1 heads). If you put the 6. intake manifold on 5.7 heads you will lose power from the port mismatch.
