Default iPod connection on 07 Ram 1500

I'm getting my new 07 Ram tomorrow and need some info on connecting my 40 gb iPod. I know the factory HU has an aux input, so I assume it's just a matter of buying a cable. But, that won't charge or power the iPod. Is there anything available after market to do it both? I saw several options on the Circuit City website. How about mounts? The one I have won't fit the Ram, only the Avalanche.

Any input is appreciated.

With that you still need the cable to plug into the truck. You would be better off just buying a standard charger.

I just checked out Ebay and several sellers selling full auto kits (charger, cables, etc) for around $8.00. I just did a search for Ipod charger.

This is what I'm using in my 07 with my ipod. I think it's pretty decent. Two thumbs up and I highly recommend it.

mopar makes an ipod integration kit if I remember correctly. Hooks right up to your factory system and charges too I believe.

Thanks all, looks like finding stuff will be pretty easy. I will see what I can find today after I get the truck. I have Sirius in the truck, but it's always nice to have 2500 mp3's too. I like that Griffin Tuneflex, I'll check into that.

I have the Mopar one and love it! I can control it through my steering wheel and radio. THe downside is it's sometimes a little slow to boot, and the Navigation takes a little while to get used to. I was using an Aux jack in my previous car; this is much better. the sequence on my radio is FM, AM, CD, Sat, FM, AM ,CD, Ipod. I think it's about $215 new. TOok 30 minutes and a hole saw to isntall. Plugs in to the Canbus.

Look up my post in the audio section. Peripheral electronics has just released a direct wiring harness that will allow you to use steering wheel mounted/radio controls, and also charge the pod. $140 and worth every penny. Also, I just posted the how to install in the ram section.
