Default Put the dodge to work last night - Airbage overloads??

got a freebe of red zigzag patio bricks from a neighbor, so tore them up last night and hauled them home. Truck didnt even feel like i was loaded up but the rear end sure sagged. Was thinkin bout investing in some airbag overload units in the rear now... i wanna be able to carry alot and not have my truck hanging like that all the time. Anyone use these before?

maybe you should have bought a 3/4 ton?

How much weight did you put back there?

Airbags are great ! I had them on my last truck and need to put them on my new one. The last ones I had automatically sensed the additional weight and would add the air automatically as needed. Makes a nicer ride without the load too.

The standard payload is about 1200lbs for a QuadCab. Some of the airbags claim they can increase the payload amount up to about 5000lbs total. Seems high to me ,but you get the point, you can carry a lot more without the rear end dragging.

It sure looked like it. I have seen both systems at work and they both do well. The benefit of an automatic system is if you are not planning to pick up something heavy ,but then you need/want to. You always have the air. Then we can start making jokes about being full of hot air. Air is good

when I had my 1500 I had took a one time deal delivering phone books, I had two pallets in the bed of my truck, ran strong but so much weight the tires looked half inflated. I have since traded tot he 2500 ctd. I want airbags on this jsut to get a smoother ride.
