there's another dodge forum with a thread hundreds of posts long thats titled with something about wanting a superchips for the 4.7. I don't know why SC hasn't developed one yet, the demand is incredible.

 

Hey guys, well i have a 2005, with no mods yet, i can still put the SC on my truck right?? And is it the same tuner as the 07?? It is a hemi also! Or should i get exhaust and CAI first???...

 

I'd sign it. I just sent them another email today, I've sent them about 20 so far. Just for ****s and grins I checked their availabilty on the Fords and Chevys from 2004 to 2007 and from what I could tell, every engine available had something for it. For the Dodge 1500's it's just the HEMI. Why does SC hate Dodge?[&o]

ok, Im seriously thinkin about trying a Superchip out in my 2007. how does it effect MDS?

 

As far as I knowit doesn't affect the MDS at all Kane.

Holy smoking wheels batman, I put superchips on my 3.7 and gained 200 more horses and 350 more torque. So where you see pieces of drivetrain on the road, thats where my truck was.

ok, another question I have is with towing. lets say I set this up with the performance tune and I need to tow something. Do I just put the truck in tow mode as I always did without the chip? or do I have to put the truck in tow mode with the programmer?

 

I think it depends on what you are towing... if you are towing a lawn mower, then probably not... but anything serious I would. I towed a wicked heavy trailer (smoke house simulator) the other day and never switched it out and it was fine. If you tow all the time I would say just to set it to tow and leave it. Tow requires the 91 octane.

 

i'd just set it to the tow mode whenver you tow just to be safe. I know i will with my boat.
