I have a Magnaflow I Hate i it's LOUD you have yu'r foot it t so muchat HWY speeds my truck hasthe 6 speed and when you down shiftfor head winds hills to passsomeone it's LOUD it it was on a motor with more power it would be so bad.
But the little V-6 is under powered so you have to have you'er foot it it so much to keep the HWY speed of 70 MPH.
When you'r sitting still or under 1700 RPM's the Magnaflow sounds nice but once you get on it you know it's a free flowsystem.

I changing back to stock next week I been running the Magnaflow for 2 months now I wished I never put the Magnaflow on.

Im gonna have to have another post and ask this question. I put back the Flow 40 on Sunday. I didnt drive it on Monday, but yesterday I had a bit less than 1/4 a tank. I proba drove 40 miles and it was all gone. I was so f'ing amazed at how fast the needle was dropping throughout the day. I was averaging 17.5mpg, but as soon as I put the Flow, it was down to 16mpg. I am going to drive with the flow for 2 fill ups to get numbers, then I am going back to the 50 and then stock again. This will resolve the matter. AND its not like I drive it different.

It's not like a rice bunner but not like a full V-8 It's Deep tone though the power band you will notice more power up on top end if you want loud this is the way to go. it's 3 Inch in and 3 Inch out 20 inch long.

Like I said during normal Cruise it's not bad at all but you get on it up on the HWY It's LOUD rummble kind of the old days having turn down tip just aft of the Turbos.

If you are married you'r wife goning to hate them but on the up side you cant hear them to good over the rumbble Ha Ha.

The stock pipes have reducers from 3 inch to 2.5 I think then back up to 3 inch going out back, the say it to reduce sound I going to stock type muffler with 3 inch both ends it should give me some rumble but not super loud this is my family hauler.

Go to dodge talk (take the space in between). I have sound clips of the 40 and 50 to give you an idea. My profile name is the same.

I been told you will lose some bottom end with dualsI am running Single system I you want to run Duals use a smaller head pipes and tailpipes to incress the back pressure and also have a crossover tube installed before the Magnaflows to get you'e exhaust pressures to be the same for both cylinder bank more or less you be helping the exhaust system be a self tunningexhaust.

You also will have to run dual cats I don't know how that will effect you computer system you mite have to run dual probs in each pipe remember the tuck was made for single exhaust you mite be openning a can of worms.

Our 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with a V-10 has Duals on it but it came that way Stock, 2 in to one system it now has dual all the way backrunning 50 flowmasters on it sound great but sucks the gas we just drive it when we need to haul heavy stuff.

As for MPG I could not tell you if they helped or not my truck has a Jet Chip Stage 1 and a K&N drop in filter in it I did this all at the same time I get 1 to 2 MPG better than stock with better power it not no race truck It will never be it just undered powered thats life.

Where I live theres alot of wind most of the time and some hills so MPG is hard to judge if I lived some were with less wind and hills I think I could get better MPG.

The wind a normaly around 30 to 50 MPH at every other day or so but Oh well thats where work is and good jobs are hard to find so I put up with the winds and the hills at least untill I win the Lotto.

Good luck let us know whaat you end up doing and how you liked it or dont like it.
