Pushing my buttons!!!!!
Is it just me or do more of you find yourself accidently pushing the panic alarm on the remote while handling your keys. So many times while turning on or off the ignition in my 07 dodge ram 1500, I hit the stupid thing! They put the button in a bad location on the remote. My neighbors just love me. Especially that i leave for work at 430 am.
ive never set mine off accidentally. while trying to unlock the truck with my keys still in my pocket ive hit it a few times, but at least on my key fob, you have to hold it down for a few seconds to get it to go off.

Try inserting the key into the ignition with the button's facing away from you. That is how I start my truck and never had a problem. As for in your pocket, never had that happen either. Red

Open up the key fob and put a piece of scotch tape between the contacts for the panic button. I had the same problem all the time. I'd be working out in the yard, and realize my panic horn was blaring. I have no need for the panic alarm--so I simply disabled it in the button. Never had a problem since!
Ditto, fishin,
I was my bud's house one morning around 4am to go crabbing. Don't you know I set it off.
To make matters worse, I have air horns, LOL!
Dogs were barking, lights were coming on, etc.
I did the scotch tape thing.
Now, it can't happen.
