Recently my truck starting putting a plum of blue smoke on start-up and occaisionally when reved. Anyone else's truck burning oil at 40K or have suggestions before I take it to the dealer? I need to check the PCV but I don't think that is the issue.

I can't remember what the exact problem was but there was a thread on this about a month or so, so try and do a search.

 

check the pcv valve.
