If you do add the locks look for the post in the V6 section about powerlocks and there is a link to a kit that is like 30-40 dollars or somewhere around there. I bought it and it took prob 3 hours to install myself, with the only difficult part being mounting the keyless entry receiver. The only reason it was hard is because I wanted it to look good and it was hard to fit my hands up far enough to get it out of the way. I'm going to do the powerwindow kit whenever I get some money for it.

I just got my 2007 Ram 1500 3.7l 2wd last month. So far I have a little over 1000 miles on it and I am disappointed with the mpg. So far it is around 13.5 a gallon and that is drivimg nice and easy not beating it at all. I decided to go with the 6cyl thinking that it would be a little better on gas then the 8. We will see when it gets a few more miles on it. I think I am putting a cold air intake on it to see if it gets me any more mpg. Good luck with your new ride. Can't beat the deals you are getting on them right now.

Wow Tim 13 mpg really sucks! I won't be happy with that. I barely have 200 miles on it yet but am anxious to see what I'm getting. My '93 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 diesel I traded in on was getting 18 mpg!

Thats sounds about right for MPG mine got very bad MPG at first also I said the same thing mabe I should of keeped my old truck instead just hang in there the MPG gets better.

But one thing those guys at Dodge testing know how to lie about MPG I read There Testing is in a controled area no head winds no hill 55 MPH most likely with a tail wind down hill thats how they come up with such high MPG ratings.

Like I said before I purchased the 3.7 V-6 for MPG Ha Ha They put one ove on me besides fot the lack of higher MPG and beeening under powered I love the truck.

I just wish Dodge was more truthfull what the truck could do I would of gotten the 4.7 or the hemmi instead if I knew the truth I read the Hemmi with the MDS gotting 17 MPG thats what gets me mad.

Its Dodge and the EPA, those 2 bastards were using 1970's testing techniques on all cars. Thats why they would get high MPG. Now they will use better realistic scenarios, like a/c usage, stop and go traffic, hills, etc. Lets see what numbers we get on the 2008 stickers.

Okay just a little follow up. I have owned the truck a week and half now and just went through my first tank of gas. I got 16 mpg on this one. I do about 70% hiway so I hoped for a couple mpg better. Maybe after I change to full sythetic oil on the 1st oil change it will improve. But, I love this truck! It's exactly what I needed. I already ditched the wheels that came on it for some alloys and put a Kobalt tool box in the bed. I will do another follow up maybe in a month but so far so good. I will try and take a picture of it too if it ever stops raining. [sm=smiley21.gif]

There is your 16mpg. Are you alloys bigger than stock?
