What do you all think about nerf bars on a 2wd?

Hey guys just found a decent dodge forum.... this one,
ive alsonoticed my new 1500 only gets like 12 - 14 mpgand ive almost rolled 2K on it, one whole tank wasstraight highway at like 75mph and 13.2mpg was it?

Welcome!, yes many people with the V6 have posted less than satisfiyinig mpg. This engine has to work harder to do the same work as it's big brothers. Having to floor it up the hills to maintain speed and also using more power off the line to get it up to speed kills the mpg. Having said that I believe the 3.7L is the most reliable of the gas engines in the Ram.

My 3.7 gottten 13 MPG when I first got it also it gets better about 5 tanks fulls we all were not happy with the MPG I traded my 02 V-8 FORD 3/4 ton 4X4 lifted with 37 inch tires 10 MPG, for this V-6 hopeing to get better MPG, Last night I got 21.6 MPG out of it I was Suprized, I have 22000 miles on the clock.

i just picked up my 3.7 in feb. i love the truck yet very disappointed in aftermarket. my own fault didnt do the research. if anyone knows of good aftermarket for the 3.7 let me know thanks.
