Default Bully dog?

I just purchased a bully dog tuner this weekend for my 06 hemi. I was told by summit racing that they quit carrying superchips due to having to many bad issues with that particular tuner. does any have any input on this topic and how does the bully dog compare to the superchips?

Call me overly critical but I generally wait until I do research before making a major purchase like that. Who knows, maybe you'll find your local dealer was smoking crack and didn't want to stock superchips anymore. Maybe you'd find a better price online for your bullydog and save $100 like I did on my superchips flashpaq. Just a thought.

I actually got the bullydog programmer for 250.00 and it supposedly does the same thing as superchips. I was just wondering if someone has any actual experience with both. Why shop the net when i can get them a lot cheaper around town.

They are almost identical as far as power and performance are concerned. The key difference being that Superchips will log engine and performance data. I have ran both at the track and they are very, vary close to each other.

I was getting pissed doing an internet search for them. It seemed either the almost every web page was set up in the same no user friendly way to look up the price or I was being impatient. Anyway, once I finally was able to see a couple prices there were in the $400 - $450 range. so your price of $250 was a real steal.

Sorry for the delay, I am on vacation and not the net but I havd to come by and see everyone and see what I was missing. On the Bully Dog, they work the same as the SP tuner now. It just got a release for the tire size which was the only thing that was different and I was just informed that there is another update coming out soon but do not know what it is. The only difference now is that the SP tuner is faster to load to your truck. The Dog takes like 30 minutes start to finish. This thing is slow. The performance is great. I run the 93 tune and I get great gas mileage, shifts very smooth and can feel the difference in the throttle instanly. I just drove from Florida to Pennsylvania and running cruise at 75 -80 mph, I was getting 17-18 mpg. Running cruise at 60 mph, it went to 19 mpg. While I was in Florida with my everyday driving and get an average of 13-14 mpg over the whole tank. When I drive in Florida I always am caring about 400 lbs of crap in the back. On the trip to Pa. I was carry about 700 lbs of crap in the back plus 2 adults, 2 teens, and 1 child. This will give you some idea of the mileage to weight situation. The Dog works great for me but I am also waiting to see what the Diablo is going to do, I would love to have more control over my tuning. If everything that is said is true about the Diablo, my Bully Dog will be sold!!!!. If you paid $250 for your dog, you got a great deal, I paid $325 shipped for mine.

For now everyone, I will not be back on here until Sunday or Monday.

adavis4 if you have more questions, PM me and I will get back to you next week.
