LEVEL KIT
I am looking to finally get these, but need to clarify which is it? Factory shock length in front or two inches longer shocks in front?
from the website...New shocks are recommended with the 2" lift spacers but are not absolutely required. The stock 2wd Ram 1500 front shock acts as a limiter for the suspension. Extending the length of the front shock will allow the front suspension to over-extend and can cause damage to the upper control arm ball-joint. For this reason, PerformanceLifts.com recommends using a factory length shock absorber with these coil spring spacers. The number one reason to replace the factory shock is performance. An aftermarket shock will perform better both on and off-road. Factory Dodge shocks leave a lot of room for improvement.

RE: LEVEL KIT
Yes, I believe that's the link...The spacers are from the do it yourself from this board. I have a 02 1500 standard cab V6 (yea power!). From the shops that I've called today (offroad, ect) the general consensus is that factory shock lengthsin the front will be most beneficial. I do not offroad (obvious due to the v6) at all, just want to level it out...What are your thoughts?

Looks like that's from performancelifts.com. I seem to remember that being the case for the 2006+ Rams and not the case for previous model years. Links would be helpful, as well as your truck stats. From your avatar it looks like 2002-2005.

Yea, I read that 2" longer shocks are most beneficial, but all three off-road shops that I visited today told me that if I went Rancho, or similiar, there would be enough travel fro convential length shocks. My truck, as is, rides really, really rough now, so I want to improve that as much as possible while doing this. More searching to come...

Definitely let us know how that goes. I want to level out my 07 as well but can't decide for the life of me which to buy and if I'll need new shocks.
