Can't Believe it...

RE: Can't Believe it...
well, here's ny story (I guess I got off pretty easy)......
I had my 05 1500 for 2 days. I had just installed some edging stones on the side of
my driveway. My wife backs the new truck out of the driveway.....she's afraid to
cut the wheel too soon, and rub the stones, so she backs straight out and hits
the tree accross the street. To this day, the only spot on the whole truck, is
the giant dent in the chrome rear bumper.

RE: Can't Believe it...
reminds me of the best bumper sticker I ever saw....
"I'm not drunk, I'm Asian"
never thought about all the Asian drivers converging on Casino employee parking lots.
Atlantic City has a ton working there.
not that there is anything wrong with that mind you............

I beleive it. I bought my truck in March, and I just got the insurance check from the guy who ran into the back of my truck. Luckily he only damaged the rear bumper, but the new Dodge replacement bumpers don't look much better than the original AFTER being dented. [:'(]

RE: Can't Believe it...
Hell - my wife drove our Expedition with squeealing brakes for 4 days and groved them so bad that I had to replace rotors, pads, and realign my front end. She thought they needed grease... Thank god, she decided not to spray them with 10w-40. Now on her new car, I color coded all her fluids and I drive it once per week to make sure it is not missing anything.....
Cant wait for my daugter to start driving......... NOT

I got a better one, had my '04 for 3 weeks, took it into the dealer with 900 miles on it to have skid plates put on it (part of the purchase deal - I told them I'd never buy a 4x4 w/o skids). Mr. 19 year old mechanic, on his 3rd day on the job, backs a '02 dually, in for an oil change, right into my truck crunching the side panel between my tire well and bumper, while taking the dually from the bay back to the parking lot.
Crunched so bad they had to pull it out so the tire would turn. They had the audacity to want to send it to a body shop to be pulledout and painted. I told them they were giving me a NEW side and a NEW bumper, plus a loaner for the week they were gonna need my truck, or this was going to be a matter for a lawyer. They agreed and I dropped the truck off when the parts arrived and made them show them to me (new but unpainted). Job came out OK, but the local paint shop could have done a better job, as I can see swirls & a little un-eveness in the paint job if I'm up close and the sun hits it at a certain angle.
No one else has ever noticed it, or at least said anything, but I can see it right away.

I'm actually dropping off my truck on Monday to my dealer because my mom noticed that my tailgate had a huge dent in it going outwards. I know that it's from the dealer since wehave neverput anything in the bed of the truck yet. But the day I picked up my truck, we noticed that my driver's side door was chipped, scratched and when the door is open, the paint by the step bars was also chipped. So that day, I went back to the dealer to give it back to fix it or give me a new truck.
