i havean A.R.E. LSII series with a spoiler(no jokes please i get enough from my friends) it cost about 1600 total and in town i get about 1 more mpg, highway around 2.5 ish. i love the way it looks. itlocks and everything over the tailgate, painted to match, and it doesnt weigh nearly 150 lbs, one person can hold it easily, just a little awkward, only problem is it doesnt open all that much, but i rarely use the bed anyways, just have to trailer my bike everywhere is all. in 7 years it wil have paid for itself

I have the Lund Genesis seal and peal (no snaps) roll up soft tonneau from JC Whitney for $220, and it works great. I got +1.5 mpg after installing it.

If you don't want to install a tonneau on the top of the pickup
it is also possible to improve the aerodynamics
by 'cleaning up' the underside of the truck.

Stoop down and check out the undersides
of the new Chevy Silverado and Toyota Tundra.
Both claim to have re-arranged parts and frame shape
to clean up the aero of the underside.
