just bought a ram
hi guys, i just traded-in my 1997 v6 dodge dakota for a 2004 Ram hemi. I already noticed that the throttle response on the ram is awsome, compare to the dakota. but is the ram hemi is as bad on fuel as people says ? How bad is it compare to my old 3.9, or even compare to the 4.7 ? because i almost bought a 4.7 instead, did i made a good choice ? thx ! Iguest its time to update my profile !

its mileage will be dictated by your driving style. if you have a heavy foot, even with a 4.7, you wouldnt get the best mileage. I like the fact that i dont have to push so hard to get the truck to jump, nice to have the power there when you need it too. You made a good choice. Enjoy your new truck m8
I'm loaded down with mods (lift, 35" tires, winch, grill guards, 4.56 gears, not to mention I always have at least 300lbs. in my toolbox between tools, winch accessories & my mig welder) and I get about 13.5 in town and upper 15's to low16's highway.

Just thinks of it like this (and most people thinks this way), you got a HEMI, if you were worried about mpg, you should'ves gotten a civic. Dakota V6, yous probably were getting 18mpg. I am getting 16 on a Ram QC V6 50/50 C/H, yous probably gonna get about the same, 16 or less. After all its a HEMI, yous not gonna baby this sucker after coming from a V6.
