HOPING DOWN THE FRWY
I just bought by 2004 1500 SLT 4.7, 17"rims/tires. Love it, drives great, but when I go over a section of freeway that has consistant bumps the truck slowly starts to bounce over them and this bouncing becomes more and more exaggerated then slowly fads away after the bumbs in road stop. I have traveled this same freeway for 4 years and have not had this problem with the other car/suv/van that I have driven down it. I have lowered the tire pressure down to 32lbs frt/ 30lbs rr but stll have the problem. Please help with any suggestions.
You're right, but you can get a better ride with higher quality shocks that dampen the springs better. Look at Ranchero or Bilstein for replacements. Be aware that they are not cheap.
Where do you live?
I lived in So.Cal and the freeways there suck. The roads were concrete. My 98 ram would give me a head ache couse it would bounce so bad.Now that I have an 04 and live in Texas I have never noticed it.

You poor people in Cali, I thought gas was bad here at $1.90 a gallon. I will keep you ram owners in my prayers and hope for a brighter day in your future.
Seriously, I thought running two trucks in Texas was bad, I can't even imagine

We have some of the highest gas prices in the country...Even Hawaii which has no refineries has lower prices....I believe we're being fisted, but since California is not a Bush state nothing will be corrected...I guess I will have to move to Texas to get a higher grade of gasoline at better prices...
