Default Lamp out?

Came up in the cluster this morning on my way to work. It just dinged like i was low on fuel and it said lamp out. Now when I start it, it blinks for about a minute then stays steady. Threw my superchips diagnostics on there and said there was no DTC's so idk what this lamp out means.

That would have sucked to have paid the dealer $100 to run a diag and turn around and say "Yeah buddy your right rear tail light is burnt out."
Good call Hemiyellow

So all this time I could have charged those complete strangers on the road $100 each for being a nice guy and telling them they got a tail lamp out? How much for telling someone their tire is flat?

haha, its weird though because I checked all the lights and they're all working. Only ones I didnt check were the brake lights but my buddy was behind me today and didnt say anything about it so idk. One of the guys on the forum emailed me and said it could be a corroded wire, because the truck could be sensing an unsteady voltage to one of the lights. So if that is the case then it would be even harder to diagnose. And too bad that doesnt get covered under my 7/70,000 powertrain warranty haha.

check your tail light socket boards, a known problem on your model

Yep, I just had the same thing going on with my truck. I had some moisture in my tail light. I just took all the bulbs out. I sprayed the connectors with an electric contact spray and it fixed it...
Good luck!
