Default Rear sway bar installed, WOW!

Installed the Hellwig rear sway bar and man, what a difference.

Better handling/cornering, much less body roll and handles little bumps better.

Should have been a stock item.

Around $220 with shipping from Summit. About an hour install. Just some wrenches.

Sounds like a good investment. I may have to look into one.

It used to be, back in the day, sway bars were recommended for lowered vehicles. Is this still the case, or are you guys using them on stock and lifted trucks as well?

For some reason, I'm getting better handling while cornering after installing my air bags, even when the bed is empty, and I only have 10# of air in the bags. Have NEVER read anywhere where this is a benefit of having them, but I swear I could feel a difference. Sound feasable? or am I just thinking I feel a difference?

Actually sway bars can be a benifit on all vehicles, lowered, lifted or stock. It simply reduces body roll in the turns resulting in keeping all four wheels firmly planted on the pavement while maintaing a good contact pattern. As far as air bags I'm not sure if they're supposed to correct body, roll but the added suspension might stiffen it up a little resulting in better handling.
