Naked chick-pics inside...
I looked, Pappy....... Nothing. Nadda. Zip. Nicht. Nein.
I'm almost convinved it's mechanical. I've changed the p/s fluid, and despite taking the belt off and spinning each accessory by hand and feeling and listening, it's not the same as having them under load with the belt on and the engine running.
My dealer has already stated that I should just wait until it gets worse, (and truthfully they're right), I just hate knowing that a gremlin is out there waiting for me.
You know it'll get worse, about 150 miles into a vacation trip.....[:@]
I'll keep looking.
87* and humid today. Drove all the way home (18 miles) from work, and not a peep. Ran the a/c all the way.
Yesterday, it was singing like a crackwhore looking at 5-10 for possession.
I'm stumped.
I'll definitely keep you guys posted.
On the upside, I aquired my dad's bike (2000 Honda Aero 1100) and HE had a noise since it was new. I found that in less then an hour. Dealer dropped a washer in the clutch cover when they were re-adjusting the actuator, in 2001. Probably knew it as well, and were just too lazy (read: flat rate mechanic) to fix it right.

Try switching to a vanilla air freshener...

Good luck on this. Maybe a good time to trade in on a new model if it's really got you buggin'.

Did you try belt dressing?
Did you try belt dressing?
This morning on my way to work, (0500 hrs) it was squeeling away, and despite it being humid and foggy (moist air) it was cool out. It usually is quiet in the cooler air, and sings loudly in hot air.
I have off tomorrow, and I think I'm gonna take the belt off again, and this time, yank the waterpump pully, and possible spend a little more time under the hood, in search of this PITA noise.
I may try a CIA just to eliminate the airbox and muffler/baffle box, to see if that's really it. There can be a violation in a seam that I can't see and I'll never know it.

It has a new belt, and it did it with the old belt as well, with no change. I never use belt dressing, cause it masks other issues, HOWEVER, I did spray it with water and no change.
