Default problems with Sirius

For some reason, my stock head unt is not keeping my presets for Sirius channels, nor does it provide acces to half the channels. I'm only getting channels from 60-something and up. Anyone experience this? It does maintain the presets for the radio, so I dont think its the head unit that has a problem.

It's got to be something with the deck itself. Can you enter a satellite channel directly, and by that I mean punch in channel 021? I have that capability on my aftermarket unit through the remote. It's under warranty right? Take it back. It's not an issue with Sirius. They only send down the signal for your unit to decode.

As stupid as this sounds... But you do know that when your on the FM mode... your satellite presets don't work and vice versa....

You could also try contacting Sirius and getting them to resend the activation signal. I had a problem a while back where I would only get certain channels and all the presets would send me to 184 instead of where they were supposed to. After the activation signal was resent, sirius worked like a charm.

Edit: I recall being able to resend the signal from their website without having to call.

are you kidding? so when you switch from source to source, you lose your presets? another reason to get an aftermarket deck.

I understand when I am in FM mode, I have my FM presets, and when I swith to satellite, I have my Sirius presets. I have never had a problem with losing presets, even when switching from FM to Sirius. My head unit has always maintained whatever presets I assigned in both FM and Satellite modes.
