Default POWER MIRRORS HELP??

Hey everyone, im new to the forum and i had a question that maybe one of you can help me. I currently have the towing mirrors on my2006 1500 and i wanted to replace them with the regurlar mirrors because the ones i have on are to bulky. the thing is that my towing mirrors are NOT power. The ones i plan to put on are power and heated. i was wondering if i can still use these and operate them as manual?? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'll trade yours for my manual regular. I am in Hialeah. As long as my manual fit a 2006.

Other than that, I can see them fitting but they will be a little harder to move . . I think.

I don't think you want to use power mirrors as if they were manual. You'll have to force them into whatever position you want and with each adjustment you strip more off the gears. Eventually they'll be so stripped the mirrors will be loose and you won't be able to see anything because they'll be flopping around.

Definatly don't try manually moving the power mirrors too often. There are too many people that would be willing to swap your mirrors for some smaller manual ones. Personally I love the tow mirrors, Of coarse I pull a 28ft enclosed snowmobile trailer from time to time also. My dad says he hates his tow mirrors on his '07 2500, I told him he'd get used to them.
