She was stuck there for 15-20min before the tow truck got there and maybe 5-10min more before it was out so all together it was under for about a half hour or so.

 

ok well thats not to bad a deal then, i took a V12 jag out the river once and got that baby running again !

just clean, dry, and spray everything ! then spray again !

but CHANGE safety switches just incase.

Dude that thing is done, you will have more money into it than it is will be worth, not to mention, I what happends when you go to sell it? I know I would not want to buy something with water damage, and if they know, you wont be able to get crap out of it. I say part it out and get a neon.

 

I have my doubts on it. From the way she described how everything sounded when the engine stopped running after it got water logged, and the fact that after it she kept trying to restart the damn thing 2-3 times before it was completely sunk and gave up on it (just learned that little bit of information about 10 min ago when she called saying "Oh by the way I just thought you should know .......[sm=icon_beat.gif])

if you can turn the engine over by hand, pull the plugs out and do a compression test on each cylinder,

my jag had been in the river for over a day, and still it ran

 

if you cant get it to run, part it out ! i'll give you $10 for the left rear lamp ! lol

i say it's done also. water damage is by far the worst. youll have gremlins for the life of the vehicle even if your able to save it.
