Default Brake Dust

Brake Dust is one of my biggest pet peeves. When I had my 2002 Toyota Celica GTS I put ceramic pads on and never had that problem again. I am looking ad doing the same thing to the truck. LOL

Anyone else feel the same way?

Tomorrow when I drop her off to have the safty inspection and all that good stuff done to her I hope they do the brakes with ceramic pads, but if they don't I don't have a problem getting them myself and slapping them on.

I don't like brake dust any more than the next guy but I have noticed that the only time I noticed brake dust was when I went out to Yellowstone and back (5500 miles) and didn't wash it. If I wash it every few weeks I don't notice brake dust. My old truck the brake dust was like way amplified and you could notice it a mile away.

Brake dust does suck. I have found that if I wax up the chrome clad's with a couple layers of wax it sprays off and even appears less through the weeks between washes.

Michelin makes a brake dust repellent for your wheels. One application is advertised to last 2 weeks. I'm like Pirata though and wash my truck weekly and don't notice the dust so I can't tell you if it works or not.
