It sucks that a truck that costs 43K is only worth half less then 2 years later.

Yea, I just pulled an inventory search on one of the local dealers here. The '07 5.9 CTD SLT QC 4x4 that list for $43k have a $3500 cash back and matching dealer discount, making it $36k for one of those - NEW!!!

Man, I wish I didn't have $8k in mods in my '04, that I'd lose if I traded, looks like a big time buyers market...

 

I think you could get more that 23 for it. I would say sell it for at least 28,000. There is always someone that will purchase it. I have been looking for trucks for my son and a 03-05 quad cab 4x4 with over 50,000 on it sells for 22-24 thousand depending on the trim.

 

Damn, you guys need to come Florida way next time you're buying a vehicle. I paid $28k NEW, for my '04 QC 4x4 Hemi Laramie in 06/04, sticker wasright around $35k.'04 & '05'sare all over the local auto traders for $12-15k 2WD and $16-20k 4x4's, all 1500's though. Local Dodge dealer has an '06 2500 Hemi w/ 8 inches of lift, 37's and a few other mods, 21k miles and wanted $27,000 featured w/ pic in last Sunday's paper classified section...

 

Don't go by KBB, go by NADA. Pretty much every bank and every dealer uses NADA values. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, man. I hope you have some luck.

 

Question... how did you end up paying $43,000 for a HEMI? I'd understand for a CTD... but wow! That is just way too much!

 

There was demand for them in 2005-2006 I guess. I bought mine in 2005 for 19,000 + tax, and its a V6 manual ST.
