I keep a sunction gun on the wall of my shop, so it the meatball doesn't have a drain, I just suck it out...

And for manual transmission and final drive lubrication, I am using Citgo brand Mystic, think it is called JT-7, bright red so it is easy to see a leak. It is the best GL-5 lubricant I can find locally. Far easier to maintain the gear boxes and such than to replace them.
