Help me satisfy the wife!
This might help. Just fold & roll all of your clothes up and put them in a suit case or duffle type bag. We have been doing this for years and the rolling thing really works. With all of the soft luggage these days it should not be a problem. I don’t allow for any more blocked vision than is absolutely necessary.
A PCV pipe will need to of some size (diameter) to hold a stretch across the cab and not sway. A round oak wooden hand rail comes to mind. Mounting for that much weight could be a problem.
As far as satisfying your wife – your on your own.
Have a nice trip.

judging by the thread title, i thought this was going to be good...but keeping clothes wrinkle free just doesn't do it for me.
run clothes line (nylon rope) from handles on B pillar to clothes hanger on same side. do it to both sides. then connect the two sides w/ dowel/pvc/more nylon rope. you can adjust this forwards, backwards, and depending on how loose/tight the handle-clothes hook rope is, you can adjust the height. pvc would be easier, drill hole just big enough for nylon at each end then run the rope through it and tie rope where it needs to be in the truck. that will allow you to "slide" pvc forwards/back where you want it and it'll keep the pvc from falling off the rope.
if that doesn't work, let her decide what to do because atleast she won't be pissed at you the whole time for her clothes being wrinkled.
or do it your way and pack a damn iron

Use a regular clothes rod and make bracket for the ends that go over the window glass. Close the glass on the brackets and lock the rear doors.
You wont be able to use the rear doors, but if you flip the seat down there should be alot of vertical room.

thought of that too, but wasn't too keen on the possible weight that would be put on the glass and window lift mechanism. i don't have a qc, but if the rear windowshave some arc to them like the fronts do, then i would be even more nervous about any kind of loading put on them even if the brackets span the width of the window.

Need to make an extended road trip in my 2006 QC, SLT, 4x4. My wife wants to hang clothes instead of putting them in the suitcase and getting them wrinkled.
Has anyone found a need/wayto hang a clothes bar in the rear for 2-weeks worth of clothes for 2 people? The ones I found need to be screwed into the head liner or hanging from the trim. I don't think that it will support the weight.
The clothes hooks are over the back seat and not along the doors.
Any help?
Thanks.
